The store Alaska was missing.
Before East Eden opened, if you wanted to feel the weight of a Japanese fountain pen or run your fingers across a Midori notebook, you had to order it and hope. Alaska had no dedicated Japanese stationery store — no place to try before you buy, no expert to ask, no shelf full of things you didn't know existed.
We fixed that. East Eden opened as a physical store in Anchorage because we believe that stationery is a tactile experience first. Come in and test a pen on paper. Bring a gift recipient's name and we'll help you build something they'll keep.
