Why it's a favorite for adding color

Soft, smooth color — each pencil has a Japanese wax color core that lays down color easily.

An eraser made for color — the sand eraser has a slightly abrasive texture designed to erase colored pencil.

The Blackwing feel — the same semi-hexagonal barrel and ferrule as Blackwing's graphite pencils, in genuine incense-cedar.

12 well-rounded colors — from pink and violet to brown, black and silver, a full palette in one box.

Description

Blackwing's classic pencil, made for coloring

Blackwing Colors take what people love about Blackwing's graphite pencils and bring it to color. Each pencil is made from genuine incense-cedar with the same semi-hexagonal barrel and iconic ferrule, but here the ferrule is silver and the core is a soft, smooth Japanese wax color core.

The eraser is a nice touch. Instead of the usual soft eraser, each pencil has a sand eraser with a slightly abrasive texture, made specifically for erasing colored pencil.

You get 12 colors: pink, red, yellow, orange, light green, green, light blue, blue, violet, brown, black and silver. It's a lovely set for sketching, journaling, coloring books or adding a little color to your notes, and an easy gift for anyone who already loves Blackwing.
