Description

Looks like a classic pencil, never needs sharpening

If you love the feel of a wooden pencil but not the sharpening, this one's for you. OHTO took a full-length, classic pencil and turned it into a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil. The barrel is real incense cedar, the traditional pencil wood, and the knock and tip fitting are brass.

It weighs just 5.5 g and is about 6.4 in (163 mm) long, so it feels like the pencil you grew up with. There's an eraser on the end for quick fixes. OHTO says it's a hit with kids who want a mechanical pencil that still looks like a regular one, and it's just as charming on a grown-up desk.

It's made in Japan, and OHTO points out that incense cedar grows much faster than it's harvested. We carry it in wine, blue and green. If the eraser wears down, OHTO's replacement is the APS-280E.
